some garages stay out all day and do 6 tons then u got guys who kill them selves and do 13 tons. gotta slow it down with gps and people watching our every move.. this job isnt the same as 20 years ago its a different world..

His exact words ( as I remember) were sanitation may need to "pick up more ton-age by extending routes"?

extended routes means cutting routes which means fewer sanmen which mean fewer jobs and more work for the same pay

Well at least he didn't say there are layoffs yet. Most of the cutting is from attrition.
