Sunny, I posted an article from the Department of Labor that explains how & why we have minimum a wage.

Stop living in the 1930's. It's a new millennium.

You were the reason that I posted it. Maybe you'd like to go back to working for pennies, children having to work & women being paid half of what men make, but I don't.

Minimum wage is involved in this topic.

Let's ask Japanese-Americans what they thought of FDR.

Speaking of the state's economy, things are now going well enough in spite of HB 2 that leaders in the Senate are proposing giving teachers a raise. A real one!

So real in fact that it would ensure that teachers hit the top of the state's teacher salary scale within fifteen years and would bring the average salary to more than $54,000 in two years.

...the raises would make North Carolina's teacher pay the highest in the Southeast and 24th in the country.

True that. No need to let little things like facts and data get in the way of rhetoric and blind partisanship.

Is that how you justify your sycophantic dedication to the Guv?

Lol, I was unaware that blind partisanship is only applicable unilaterally. They sure aren't raving about the Obama's administration current national unemployment rate. Instead, you'll hear responses related to the "real" unemployment numbers, etc. Didn't the wise one "Trump" say it was closer to 41%?...so is that statistical thought process only applicable at the national level and not state level?

And isn't it amazing? The party (GOP) that has opposed almost any initiative the Dems have proposed (the last few decades) for more investment in public education, teacher pay raises, etc is now the champion of those efforts. TGIF, in the great words of our 43rd prez, "fool me once, shame on you..fool me, you can't get fooled". Oh wth, y'all knew what he meant or was trying to say...I think?
