I'm not calling him a pinko commie...but I am saying that he's a socialist. His answer to all of our problems is government control.

Again--if you want that..great--vote away. Honestly though, I don't think most people realize what the guy believes.

Yeah, Obama is a socialist.

That is why Warren Buffet, the world's #1 capitalist, is backing him and even one of his economic advisors.

Please, I beg you, rationalize that one for us.

Obama is surrounding himself with very good economic advisors.

1. Buffet is giving away billions of dollars as he gets older. He does believe in programs to help the poor.

2. Berkshire Hathaway just bought some banks, from what I've been told...and he stands to make a lot of money off the government buyout of banks.

3. Buffet has always been a democrat. He has always been outspoken against the republican party. His whole "I pay less taxes than my secretary" act is a scam. He makes less than his secretary, according to his tax return.

Well Todd, it looks like you're going to get your wish. It will be interesting to see if the Dems can actually back up any of their promises. We heard it all in the last election, but so far the Democratic controlled legislature has done absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing.

It would be nice if their campaign rhetoric amounted to something/anything, but I suspect that if any of it came to pass, they'd be more surprised than me.

Thanks.

The congress is not "democratic" controlled. They have a tie in the senate w/ Lieberman (I) voting with Republicans.

In the house, they have a small majority and the constant threat of Presidential veto power.

"Buffet has always been a democrat" That is the whole point of the conversation!

Why would the richest man in the world have always been a democrat if it was against his self interest even when he was starting out ?

Why would he want to operate in a system that hampers his ability to make money ??

It's because he views social equity as better for a consumer market.

maybe he feels guilty for being rich, and now wants to save the world? I don't know.

He hasn't always been filthy rich. maybe he just never got off the democrat bandwagon.

I can probably name a lot of poor people that support Obama....does that mean that his 'system' makes people poor?

I just explained why.

It's the same reason other people with money vote democratic. They feel a balanced society is better for our consumer/capitalist market.

What kind of logic is that ?

No one strives to be poor in our society.

People vote against parties because they feel it makes them poor.

People vote for parties because they feel it makes them better off.
