I am so Pissed off right now At my Cable Company I had to call 3 times to get the story straight..why my cable is not working

The first dingbat Blamed my TV after I said my cable was not
working..................Wrong answer

The second Dingbat tried to sell me something, after I screamed that the cable was not working and all he wanted to do was set me up with someone to come over.
Wrong Answer

Third person--- after I spent 35 minutes just waiting to get to the correct department again said there was an outage on our area.

So why did dingbat #1 & #2 could not have told me what the #3 did?

With all the budget cutbacks the cable company can only afford one brain for the customer service department. You have to keep calling until you get the person with the brain. In the event the person with the brain forgets to give it someone else before going home, you will call all day without ever getting anyone that can help you.

can I take the other side in this.

Dealing with customers for as long as I have over the phone the answer isn't always getting the wrong person. I will admit that is the problem or 1/2 of the problem.
The other half is the words used, voice tone and communications with the rep.

It happens in all types of telephone customer service situation. a failure to communicate and it is not always the fault of the CS rep. sometimes it does take 2-3 calls to get a real point across and it is easier to blame the other person on the phone then to look inward an see what might have been said wrong.

the other problem could have been delay in information concerning situation.
First call... ok that rep had no clue and might not have bothered to look.
Second call... at least was trying to rectify the situation most likely based on information they had at that time.
Third Call... well guess what the information about a cable outage in the area FINALLY might have reach the reps so they can answer your query properly.

Just because you live in 'real time' does not mean the company you deal with is on the same time info frame. You would think they would be because that is common sense but life and companies never subscribe to common sense practices. I know the company I work for will have conficting infromation and delayed information. We can have a situation in the AM that isn't informed to the reps till later that same day or the next. And we even have a big redboard marquee type sign they paid $$$ to have installed to impart real-time information.

take a breather and realize it is just cable and life will not end without TV.

I will be the first to admit there have been many times I have been totally clueless when I called tech support and the rep has had to play 20 questions just to get a clue as to what the problem is. However there have also been times I knew the problem was not with my computer as several others around all of a sudden had the same problem yet tech support insisted on having me change all the settings on my computer. After 20 minutes of this they finally say the problem must not be with my computer.

Thumbs up doctors who listen

Mrs AksarbeN had started using another doctor regarding a problem she had with her jawbone and ear area called the TMJ. She was or had been in a great deal of pain for months, and on her visit with this new doctor that she started seeing asked if he thought he could help her? His reply was very simple and straightforward ~ “yes”. She then asked, “What makes you think you can?” He replied, “When I started practicing medicine my patients didn’t always have good results, now I listen to my patients and they always have much better results”.

Tried to be cheerful with the cashier at the store today, but boy was that the wrong thing to do. There is one cashier who never seems to smile. Today she was the only one open. I have seen her around in other situations and she seems to be a very cheerful person, ... except when she is at her cash register. I know jobs are scarce right now, but she really ought to try to see what else is out there. If you don't like dealing with people, any kind of customer service job is wrong for all involved.

Exclamation this is a CC of my Shopping Thread post but I hope many read it no matter where it is posted

I cannot believe that women will still leave their purses in the carts to go off shopping down the aisle or on another aisle. Why take such a chance with your life?

I was just utterly amazed at the grocery store today. Another lady shopping and I came across a cart alone with a purse right there on the top child’s seat. Who could leave their purse and just walk away?

Even when we tried to explain to the lady when she came back ( from 3-4 aisles away) that her purse could have just walked off without anyone taking notice. I also told her she shouldn’t take such a risk whether she thinks she has anything of value or not in her purse. Her general reply was a shrug and “oh…really?” Not worried at all.

Please women DO NOT leave you purses in your cart.

First of all carts are easily pushed off to another area. All anyone has to do is walk up behind the unattended cart, grab the handle and keep on walking. Your purse is gone.

Second you may think there isn’t anything of value in you purse but I can list several items of value.
1. Your drivers license which provides location of your house, your DL number, personal photo and description.
2. Your checks, Credit Cards and Debit cards. Bye bye money! They have you DL.
3. How about your insurance cards? Big money in insurance fraud they can easily sell your information for someone to get tones of surgeries. Which could cost you $$$.
4. How about something so simple as photos of your wonderful children. Now let’s see they know where you live have you DL and now know what your kids look like. How many folks out there know about the child pornography underground?
5. car keys… which normally also have on it your house keys…. Wow they have your home location (bye-bye stuff) with the keys.

If your purse is too heavy for you tote around while you shop get a smaller purse just for shopping to hang around your shoulder or wristlet to hang at your wrist. Don’t allow someone else that much access into your life.

Sure that woman luck out and didn’t lose her purse and life today… but why play Russian roulette with it all and take such chances? Play it safe, be slightly inconvenienced and carry your purse or downsize into a smaller shopping purse.

(BTW this is not the first time but I have noticed it happening more and more of late, this is just todays case)

Six months of work lost because one city employee screwed up and failed to do his job correctly. Now I've got to start over and re-establish the whole thing over. And I'm an unpaid volunteer!

Why can't the builders of sports coliseums realize that there will be older people with knee problems attending concerts there and put railings on those "ladders" they call steps going up to the seats?

Its cheaper to let you do it right then to pay someone else who will most likely get it wrong again.

I just wish they would plan for an actual human being to attend any event. i think they only plan on aliens. I don't go anymore since apparently they don't provide addiquate bathrooms for ladys, semi comfy chairs, rooms for any knees and I am only 5'3". I guess they should change the name of the Nose Bleed section to something else?
