we have our csr card 4 weeks and have about 150k points .the csr adds up so fast with all the points transferring from the other cards . we eat out a lot too. my wife threw me a 65th birthday party at a restaurant and that got 3x the points plus a 50% boost .

when we use the chase portal for travel our 5% back on the freedom becomes effectively 7.50% once we transfer it to the sapphire and use it for travel .

the 1.50% on the unlimited becomes effectively 2.25% and the 3x on the sapphire gets boosted to 4.50% effectively.

:50% More Value in Travel Rewards
Your points are worth 50% more when you redeem for airfare, hotels, car rentals and cruises through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. For example, 50,000 points are worth $750 towards travel."

so 100k in points buys 1500 in travel . none of our points are coming in at 1% . they are all 1.50x to 5x and cumulatively they all end up on the reserve card getting the 50% boost in travel dollars .

Anyone care to share how much money they put on these cards per year and what big ticket items they use them for.
Car insurance, cable, etc?

Car insurance, cable, etc?
The biggest ticket items we put on our cards are some of our taxes (six figures). There are transaction fees, but it helps us get status with Delta and Hilton. The spending rewards, combined with the benefits of elite status are worth the transaction fees to us.

CSR has 65k in spend in the last 12 months
Costco visa 14.5k
Amex Platiunum 3500

Car insurance and homeowners goes and travel those are the largest ticket items. Everything else goes on credit cards with the exception of our mortgage, property taxes, water bill and cleaning service
