Born in 1963 in Phoenix. Wallacd and Ladmo is a very fond memory as my brothers and I got to actually be on the show and get Ladmo Bags.

I remember Chris Town Mall, my grandmother used to take me there when I was little ( I used to love it at Christmas) and one of my first jobs was at Wags, (Walgreens Drug Store diner) at the mall. I got drunk for the first time at the Janitor's Closet. Though I have nto lived there in many years, Phoenix will always be "home".

It's funny that in the article there is no mention of the fire there that wiped out Cudia City Movie Lot. We lived a few miles from there and I remember my dad waking me up to tell me that Cudia City was on fire. I can still remember going outside and seeing the bright orange glow in the sky. I was a big fan of 26 men back there. I was also wondering, wasn't "Frontier Doctor" filmed there? It stared Rex Allen if I remember correctly.

I guess I need to give a clue, look at the name on the building behind the new construction.

I was trying to figure that out from the partial name, but it wasn't helping!

The new Downtown Antiques at 1st Ave and McKinley has some FABULOUS old pics of downtown in one of the upstairs rooms, so old there's horses and buggies in them. Wonderful. Worth a look.

48th. St. and Van Buren by the stockyards? Fabulous smell when the wind blew at night. Did Roosevelt's photo get identified. I thought I saw something like "ACME" on the building behind the mystery construction.

Yes, 46th and Van Buren. Would you believe that in the late 40's they would give 8th graders a tour of the slaughter house? Unreal but then lot's of things were taken for granted without PC interference.

As for my photo the name on the building is Apache.

Could the building in the background be the old Apache Beer (Phoenix Brewing) brewery building on east Madison? Comeon Rosey, toss us a bone!
