Was thinking the Ambrosino's but don't remember that many statues...

Would have never guessed Entz-White. Was that the one associated with Carol Steele, of C. Steele in Scottsdale?

thanks for that Entz-White reminder, roosevelt....I remember them trying to be an upscale hardware store!....

and thanks for that C Steele reminder, sluggo....I don't think she/they were connected with Entz-White, but I might be wrong....I remember C Steele being very trendy and hip to eat at....a precursor to what Scottsdale is full of now....

Wasn't there a Handyman Hardware at that Camelback location?

Homer's Handyman, owned by Malcom Bricklin. I remember it at 10th and Camelback also but can't be. Entz White turned into Zazoo's a nightclub. There was an Angel's also. Someone should look this stuff up. My telephone books only go up to 1970.

I think Handymans was on the north side of the street and Entz-White was on the south side, not too far apart.

I hadn't thought about Entz-White for a long time. Loved that store. Angels was sort of the first in a progression of stores that ended up with Home Depot and Lowes.

Yes, Handyman was on north side. I think one of the newer Chapman dealerships is in that spot now (maybe BMW). I still have one or two tools purchased at that Handyman store. At one point it was a ToysRUs.
Entz-White in its earlier incarnation was a decent lumber-hardware store, but spendy. Zazoo eventually went in there, and now it's another generic "upscale" apartment complex.

So sorry to hear that. He gave many many years of enjoyment. May God bless and keep Bill Thompson.
