That's a dangerous risk buddy.

Get a month to month lease in an apartment.

You need to have a chat with the chick in the section 8 thread. She could give you advice and you could give her a dose of reality...

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I would definitly hate for you to be homeless in the AZ heat. Check into shelters maybe? My sensible side wants me to tell you to have something lined up before you come. Best of luck.

Are you talking about living out in the open? As long as you have shade and water (and food) you can do it indefinitely. The area has been inhabited for centuries. There's a lot of people living down by the river under the bridges and in the salt cedars west of Phoenix. I suspect the other people you run into in those locations are a greater threat to your well being than the heat.

Being "homeless" on purpose doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Look for a cheap room for rent in the area, check out the roommate ads in the paper as well as online....check out Craig's List not only for roommate ads but also for the personal ads section.
If you are not a weirdo and look decent, you might be able to find a cool girl that you could live in with...2 birds with one stone but be careful one of the birds may turn out to look like Big Bird from Sesame Street....good luck.

I wouldn't be homeless here if you gave me a million dollars. Do you realize how hot it is here? There are way too many homeless here as it is. I being a nurse took care of a homeless woman one time and she was filthy, we wanted her to shower and she said, "I don't want to take a shower, if I stink I have less chance of getting raped on the streets." Makes sense to me. I'd move home with my parents before I became homeless. Good luck to you.

LOL . . . definitely worthy of a GO TO YOUR ROOM, Ponderosa.

As for the original question . . . much better to be homeless in Phoenix than Pittsburgh.
