When I lived in California I got so, so sick and tired of the kids coming over to seel magazine subscriptions for college tuition. Some of them were indeed legit, but I didn't like having to peek my head out of the door so it wouldn't be hanging open for the the world to see all of my stuff. I don't mind people trying to approach you at places like shopping malls, but I simply don't like it when someone comes up to my front door harassing me for a friggin' magazine (especially when it happens over and over and over).
