Way to go Barton. Somebody has to stand up to the Chicago mafia.

Obama has destroyed the livelihood of thousands and now is destroying the retirement plan of thousands more.

He gets a power surge by lambasting large companies thinking that it will get him votes. Some people understand that when you destroy a company (our city like Vegas) you destroy people's jobs and retirement plans. Obama doesn't care... he just loves the publicity.

And then we wonder why we have a huge unemployment problem..... wake up America!

The housing boom gutted Las Vegas, long before Obama became President. The rest isn't even worth responding to it's so detached from reality.

Interesting. I find it par-for-the-course that liberal freaks would be jumping on the mob-rule bandwagon getting ready for yet another lynching without even an investigation. Why bother having laws when leftists can ignore them whenever they feel like it? So much for "due process."

Could you get any more anti-American?

I was utterly repelled by the actions of the GOP today.

Rep. Barton spoke truth to power, and his own party condemned him. I was shocked, but I shouldn't have been. They are obviously reading the polls and think they have an excellent chance come November, and will run away from anything controversial.

If the GOP is going to be so small and craven, I will have nothing to do with them come November.

I would rather put up with the thieves in the White House than the cowards in the GOP.

Yes, someone has to stand up for the poor downtrodden multi-billion dollar multinational that has destroyed the livelihood of thousands of powerful fishermen.

Of course the alternative would be to wait for BP to declare bankruptcy and leave the Federal government and the states with the tab...

That would be how a lefty looks at the bs this president is doing to the country. Let me ask you - just what the hell is Eric Holder doing in Louisiana?

And if Obama and Co. destroy BP, where do you think the money is going to come from to clean up the mess?

The only reason that Barton "apologized" is because the House's top recipient of oil industry campaign contributions.

It makes me sick that people are actually Barton...

I would think that would be how a sane person would look at the BP escrow account. So sane in fact that folks like Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), and Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) were so struck by the insanity of your position that they found an immediate reason to refute it.

BP currently has an asset value of 240 billion dollars, I seriously doubt that securing 10% of the amount will be sending BP into Chapter 11 anytime soon, but on the chance that BP should decide to take that route, it won't be the result of Obama, but rather the clear result of BP's own negligence.

You'd think that someone wouldn't need to be reminded of that fact.
