Domino effect..a few higher ups side with the people and that's that.
Gosh..we should really pay attention to who OUR general is these days.
Obama seems to be going through them like changing your socks.
One bad personal comment against the administration and they are OUT.

I wonder what dynamic has changed to cause certain elements of the Army to become sympathetic? Are they choosing a side they think will prevail to avoid a Nuremberg defense?

Me too, they have good coverage. I've also been following the live updates here, it seems quite organised.

I reckon so, although people have been ignoring the curfew.

They are citizens themselves.
It's one thing to fight a war on foreign soil and attack the supposed "enemy".

It's quite another when you are on your own soil and told the citizens of your own country are "the enemy".

A country's army serves as defense of the nation..not to provide offense on it's people. Egypt is not having simple economic protests like Greece, Spain, Ireland. This is a uprising and revolt against the government similar to Tunisia.
