You should..what happens in someone else's backyard could one day happen to you.

We have this net neutrality and government Internet ID ideas floating around and being talked about in Congress.

Shades of Patriot Act ? Congress is probably counting on apathy like your post exhibits.

Egypt probably has one of the most powerful militaries in the region, armed by the USA.
Abrams tanks,fighters,etc.

And here we see it being threatened by the people armed with nothing more than rocks and petrol bombs.

I've got my own country to worry about. Worrying about other countries seems to be a national problem (read:sickness) that we have. I don't personally envision Egyptian ideas spreading to this country. But as they say, paranoia is the height of awareness....i guess.

The Patriot Act passed due to apathy...on this i agree. However, kinda late now, aint it? It especially chaps my hide to hear conservatives rant on about how much they hate it. During the Bush years, i wasn't hearing ANY OF THAT!!! I couldn't pay a conservative to critisize the Patriot Act back then, but it's all of a sudden the devil now?

Oh well.

Why not work together to convince the black version of Bush to kill the Stasi Act?

Ham radio licenses have surged in 2009 and more in 2010.
Shortwave radio purchases have surged.

Ya think some folks are a bit worried in the direction we're headed ?
That's a lot of tin foilers out there then.
When the numbers get this big...makes you wonder.
