Someone probably sneakernet'ed a flip cam to a facility that has a non-ISP setup (satellite). I'm sure they are available. There could also be military that are sympathetic and allowing citizens to piggyback communications.

I'm sure they'll be arrogant enough to believe that it's different here and they will succeed where the Egyptian government failed. Their arrogance is probably the peoples' best asset.

DC high command will be SHOCKED to see how many LEOs, NG, and even military will join the civilian ranks or become sympathetic enough to allow communications through their private networks, should lawmakers be stupid enough to try martial law here.

Yes, but they'll require domestic forces as well. Those domestic forces will indeed be sympathetic and allow network traffic to flow, at least in some capacity. People may not be able to blog freely anymore, but videos WILL make their way online.
