I have been watching the media reports and specially the images where teachers are signing papers/doctors forms stating they have something that makes them not able to teach.

On top of that if you see the signs and language on the signs...how on earth can that be an example for our students?

I know for sure if it would be the other way around the students would be at suspended for using this language!

We should all ask the people in charge to do what Ronald Reagan did back in the days and every one who doesn't show up in class to teach...fire them!

that will solve the unemployment rate faster...

In their selfish little world, the ends justifies the means.

I think they should all be fired, too. Then Wisconsin should privatize the schools. I don't know why teachers have to be public servants. It makes sense for fire and police but teachers and social workers and all of the administrative types that go with them, I don't get it. It's not like we don't have examples of private schools or organizations that do social work. Maybe the governor should look into being the first state to contract out, education, and issue school vouchers.

Agreed! Fire them and replace them with teachers actually dedicated to their job. There are plenty of teachers with job needs.

It's up to the local school boards and superintendents to hand out disciplinary action to teachers who engaged in the illegal strike and used falsified medical documents to demand they get paid for sick days when they were not sick. What they did was disgraceful and doesn't further their position in the the court of public opinion. I'd also like to see disciplinary action against the doctors who aided and abetted the illegal strike and bilking of the taxpayers by providing falsified medical excuses.

I The Netherlands we had back in the days, strikes all the time. The Unions were always calling on people to go out on strikes.

The government than decided to allow it but any company, or government agency didn't have to pay their employees during the time they went on strike....

Guess what...I know you get it...hardly any employee wanted to go out on strike anymore and many even quit the Union.

A lie is to make excuses, when this is really about union busting. What would Nazis do?
