hogwash. the GOP in wisconsin is trying to get business BACK into the state. you cant do that if your tax rates are too high. witness new york, california, new jersey, maryland, and other high tax states. what businesses that can are leaving those states and going to states like florida and texas and nevada where the tax rates are lower, and the business environment is better. and the rich are doing the same thing, leaving the high tax states for lower tax states, and what happens to the high tax states? they LOSE TAX REVENUE. you can only squeeze so much tax money from the people before they move out, and then where are you with all the spending the state wants to do? bankrupt thats where.

perhaps you should take economics 101 and learn how the economy really works, and perhaps you will change your mind about always wanting to "tax the rich". and also understand that even if you raise taxes on the rich, they will either move their money where it cant be touched, or pass along the higher tax rates to the middle class and the poor, by way of increased prices for the goods they buy.

You might as well forget it. Liberals do not understand how the economy, money or creation of jobs work.

They believe a lazy bum with no skills off the street deserves 15.00 per hour to just show up and clean the bathrooms at McDonalds.

The libs are desperate and have now added in the off topic tax LIE.

I'm pretty sure those were not the ones you were talking about, you made a blanket statement about all of the teachers.
I wonder how many people on here have called in sick to work when they weren't actually sick? I'm going to bet a majority.

What does tax cuts have to do with this thread?

Please get things right if you are going to troll, this has nothing to do with the FF or Police at all. They are exempt from this issue. Please follow along.
Again, how doesn't cutting taxes for the rich, corporations, and political benefactors not create a budget deficit?

It does. That's Walker's excuse for kicking the middle class in the groin.

Stop watching crazy Ed and listening to his lies.

That is all we need is another liberal generation of misfits and anti Americans.
Then what is this really all about? Do tell.

Also, liberals know exactly how the economy works. This is why we are fighting tooth and nail against this proposal.

Scott Walker is. Again, I have to say, you really don't seem to have a grasp as to what the protesting is about. Please read about it before coming on here & making blanket statements that are totally off base.

again, when tax rates are high, businesses WILL move to states with lower tax rates if they can. and that will cost jobs. lower the tax rates, improve the business environment, and entice businesses back to wisconsin, and more jobs are created increasing the size of the tax base, and thus increasing tax revenues. raise the tax rates, cuts the tax base, and lower tax revenues.

as for the teachers getting falsified sick notices, they should be sacked, and all the medical people who gave them the notes should lose their license to practice medicine.

Am I the only one who thinks it is rather telling that members of a profession that requires a very high I.Q. were willing to risk their careers because they side with the teachers?

It's not like we don't have examples of private schools or organizations that do social work. Maybe the governor should look into being the first state to contract out, education, and issue school vouchers.
http://legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/wisconst.pdf (broken link)

See page 60 of the PDF file.

Section 3 Article 10 of the Wisconsin State Constitution specifically states:

Quote:
District schools; tuition; sectarian instruction;
released time. SECTION 3. [As amended April 1972] The legislature
shall provide by law for the establishment of district
schools, which shall be as nearly uniform as practicable; and
such schools shall be free and without charge for tuition to all
children between the ages of 4 and 20 years; and no sectarian
instruction shall be allowed therein; but the legislature by law
may, for the purpose of religious instruction outside the district
schools, authorize the release of students during regular school
hours. [
Therefore the providing of public education is mandated by the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin. Now how can you a Conservative of all people suggest that Governor Scott Walker VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE?

Also your lack of knowledge on this issue is APPALLING!
If you’re going to discuss this issue at least get the facts. You rant has done nothing but insulted your own intelligence.

I know for sure if it would be the other way around the students would be at suspended for using this language!

We should all ask the people in charge to do what Ronald Reagan did back in the days and every one who doesn't show up in class to teach...fire them!

that will solve the unemployment rate faster...
Do you live in Wisconsin?

If so, how do you justify firing lying teachers, when the governor lied with a false premise about "fiscal responsibility", when his real goal is union busting?

I mean, I don't like public unions, but honestly, if thats what he wants to do, say it.

Oh covenient!

However public employees have the right to collectively bargain BY LAW!

This is not about public opinion this is a matter of law and the rights conferred by law. Now if you want to lie down like a sheep and let a group of people primarily controlled by corporate interest take away YOUR RIGHTS then you are free to so.

The teachers in Wisconsin obviously don't agee with you. I for one commend them for standig up for their rights. If more people did so this country would be a lot better off.
