I make Seitan - and really - it's better tasting than the soy alternatives, by adding spices and quite fun to make. But, by no means, do I think it replaces the real thing. When ever I make it for my son, he'll say "Mom, this is really
good, but I think you need to get a better chicken"

Keep it chilled, and just keep adding water

Thanks, but no thanks.

I'll stick to my Texas raised beef.

This. No mystery meat for me.

Ugh this whole idea sounds like something out of a cartoon with kids having disgusting school lunches with the stereotypical ugly lunch lady serving it. Lol! Speaking of which:

This whole idea just grosses me out.

Good meat, raised the old fashioned way, on a farm, will never have an equal in any form. There is nothing like a succulent pork chop, BBQ pork ribs with baked beans, or any other delicious cut of beef or pork.

Let those that want this junk have it, but don't force it down my throat. And that is the real danger with these people; they attempt to force their looney ideas on everyone else.
Who are these people?
Do you have access to any advance information that they are going to try to force it on you?
I think there are an extra 2 letters at the beginning of your name.

For the same reason that McCain and company (codex alimentarius) are attempting to outlaw Vitamin C.

Why would it have to have nasty chemicals? In fact, one of the benefits would probably be that it has FEWER nasty chemicals than the stockyard nasty-ass beef you're eating now.

People don't really understand science very much, do they?

That's the problem with letting the public weigh in too heavily on those kind of subjects. If you have no background in molecular biology, you're pretty much flying ignorant on this one.

Now I think I will go to an airplane forum and form opinions on throttle manifolds...because I know nothing about airplanes.

And I think this is why cows won't go extinct. There will always be a market for grass fed 'organic' cattle. It's already more expensive now...it'll remain a cottage industry.

Ok then. Exactly what ingredients do they use? Hmmm?
