All I can say is...WOW! That's LONG overdue!

That Order not only recognizes the off-shoring of our ability to produce the things we need to defend ourselves, it empowers the various department heads to do the things necessary to re-equip American industry, mining, energy resource companies, transportation and labor to ensure that we CAN produce what we need.

Since at least the Reagan administration, we've been allowing more and more of our critical national defense tools, supplies and equipment to be produced overseas, which makes them subject to interruption in the event of an emergency or war. For the first time in 30 years, we have a President who not only sees that problem, but is actually taking steps to reverse it!

Good job, Mr. President! Good job!

And, by the way, this Order will not only result in the purchase of more and more domestic resources, it will boost employment and investments in THIS country, rather than places like China.

This is long overdue. LONG over due!

What do you mean long overdue ? Did you read the previous EO's signed by other Presidents and noted in that EO ?

There's really nothing new there except that DHS has more authority over pieces and parts.

The only other one I found was issued by Bill Clinton in 1994. G.W. Bush issued nothing in relation to this.

But, there is a key and critical difference between this one and Clinton's: Under the 1994 Order, various department heads were authorized to guarantee loans for critical national defense infrastructure expansion to FOREIGN COMPANIES as well as domestic ones. That is not included in Obama's. Whatever loans, guarantees or new equipment is required under this Order will be to domestic providers.

And then look at those "domestic providers" and where they build their stuff.

That seems to be the whole point of this new Executive Order.

Dictator-in-Chief on the loose again!

Obama has prepared for an emergency. Now will he facilitate the emergency? (Hegelian Dialectic.)

Our Communist president can pen all of the dang EO's that his huge ego needs. Millions of us are going to live in reliance and obeyance of the Law of This Land---the Constitution and we are going to stand upon it, in defense of it and not bow to anyone's tyranny.

He did say he would just rule by Executive Order if he had to. His puppet masters must be so very proud of him.
