I think you have that backwards. It is more unicorn and butterfly brained to expect money, food and housing to fall from the sky into your pocket.

well, you can blame RWNJ like yourself from making sure that the poor have no access to birth control or medical procedures like abortion.

you guys are nothing but hypocrites.

isn't it the republican side that insist on defunding public health programs that would provide the education, medicine and birth control that these poor people could have access to ?

Poor people generally do not have access to insurance. The pill alone can cost a family $1000 a month to buy at a clinic, without coverage by insurance. Public Health clinics help defray the cost by offering the pill at subsidized costs.

Republipukes like to always defund programs that help to subsidize medicine for the poor.

When you can substantiate this with data, come back and show us. Until then, it's all unsubstantiated lies that not a single person on this thread has positively used as a defense. Like you, they say it, but don't back it up.

Show us the facts.

Ever live in an area where the nearest publich health facility is 40-50 miles away, and you can only get there by bus, then have to wait hours just to see a doctor?

No? Well, that's what most poor people have to face. In the end, they feel its not worth it.

Ever paid for birth control without the help of insurance? Tell me what poor person can afford $1000 a month alone for birth control, and still have to pay for rent, transportation, food and other important necessities.

This was true before The New Deal but 70+ years of "free money" easily erased the few hundred years without. There is now an expectation of all of these things for people hence this thread being started.

I am all for people qualifying to be parents. Not everyone should have a child. The problem is enforcing it. Just taking away the money isn't going to work. While the Constitution does not speak directly to Social Programs it speaks to the General Welfare of the country and poor people rioting, babies going unfed and crime going up (no guarantee that would all happen) seems pretty bad for the general welfare of the country.

No politician is going to touch this with a 50 foot pole as far as just cutting the program. Ain't gonna happen.

If it prevents pregnancy, why isn't it worth it?

And there are less expensive forms of birth control if you can't afford the pills.

I was actually responding to this ... and the absurd notion that "it really is that simple".
