And why is Texas being overrun by illegail immigration? Governor Perry knows how to stop it. The Feds won't let him.

It will be implemented the same way the high risk pool was implemented back in 2010.
Texas and 21 other states opted out of administering themselves and the people went to the Fed.

The Fed is not going into each state and opening pools; it's being done centrally out of DC.

High risk pool article from 2010..note the last sentence from HHS on eligibility verification. If this general insurance pool is run the same way then the corruption will start with the first application. "Rely on the honesty of the applicant"

Texans can apply for U.S. health insurance pool
States had the option of running the programs or allowing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to run them.
Texas — along with 21 other states — opted out, and the federal government will administer the program, now known as the Pre-Existing Conditions Insurance Plan. The potential allocation for Texas, if it had chosen to run the pool, was $493 million, according to Health and Human Services.
..
Health and Human Services has access to some information to verify eligibility, but Richard Popper, director of the federal insurance programs, said the department would rely largely on the honesty of the applicants.

Although they tried and lost. The Supreme Court said the Fed couldn't hold back medicaid funding if states didn't take the expanded funding. Talk about strong arm tactics.

Exactly. TX pays more in federal taxes than we get back (or at least we did before the recession). It would likely save us a lot of money if we could stop paying federal taxes even if we got no federal money in return.

TX isn't going to a blue state anytime soon. Only in the liberals' dreams maybe.

I would think a smarter stand for the Texas Gov would be to use the Texas Rangers to enforce the border. Give the illegals a gallon of water and turn them around and have them walk right back south. That's something the nation would sympathize with.

The truth is, the Republicans love illegal immigration, especially Bush. They work for cheap and help break unions. The crime, poverty and ignorance they bring with doesn't affect you in your McMansions in gated communities.
