In addition to the massive tasking to SWAT, the other criminals would know police were busy and would all go crazy. Be robbing, stealing cars, breaking people out of jail, arson, etc. It would be a massive cluster. Imagine OWS x 1,000,000.

Are you familiar with that?

By the way, even if you are an Obama supporter I would hope you would know better than to tolerate something like that and by that I mean the ordering of something without going through the proper channels. Or do you think the Constitution doesn't matter anymore?
Ah, the old Constitution ploy! Well, the Most High Obamanator hasn't let any of that nonsense stand is his way, countering it quickly by use of the Executive Orderâ„¢, coupled with deliberate obfuscation, late night and non-public directives, all with the cooperation of the Clowns on the Hillâ„¢. After all, that silly old Constitution was written so long ago and is certainly not suitable for modern times and progressive intellectuals such as himself, right? "Checks and balances" is such an archaic notion and cannot be used against the furtherance of His agenda to make things "fair" for the underachievers in the world. After all, To Each According To His Need must take precedence over what is in some dusty old paper. [/sarcasm off]

It's apparent that what we, as in We the People, consider 'knowing better' doesn't count. Some in the country still think the Constitution matters. Some, mostly in the vicinity of zip code 20500, simply don't, and in their minds it's already in the dust bin of history.

Sorry to burst your bubble but there are better and more cost effective ways to disarm the populace. The high cost of labor, the negative publicity, and the loss of life [for the small percentage of people who will choose to resist] will out weigh the benefits of doing this. It would be much easier to just eliminate the sales and transfer of firearms and then regulate, tax, and provide disposal incentives to the remaining arms holders...

Work smarter not harder...
