For those of you who keep going on and on with the religious nonsense, here's a little something I found. It's an open letter to someone who was vehemently opposed to homosexuality for religious reasons. You may think this is ridiculous, but it's no more ridiculous than your constant bible thumping and screaming that being gay is wrong. Not to mention the hypocrisy you people show when you pick and choose which parts of the bible you interpret literally, and which ones you conveniently ignore.

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. The passage clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
7. Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev 24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev 20:14). I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
Name one country that has SSM where there is a serious move to legalize polygamy.
I can't and did I say there was one? Of course I didn't. Did I say I am opposed to gay marriage? Of course I didn't. I just said, this is a possibility and it certainly is. In fact I didn't even say I was opposed to polygamy. You might want to re-read what I said, then you might want to stop putting words in my mouth or spinning what I actually said.
If you truly respected the Constitution, you would respect the separation of church and state. You are suggesting that laws of the land be according to your religion, and not what is in the best interests of the country's people, ie. civil rights issues.
You are too late---over 200 years too late. Our laws are already based on Judeo-Christian precepts. Just like the laws in Muslim countries are based on the Koran laws.

I've seen it before but it is one of those things that I think can be posted over and over - for those who might have missed it and as a reminder for those who have - and who choose to ignore it.
You are exactly right, you have the constitutional right to believe as you wish, to speak what you believe as you wish, and live your life as you wish within the laws of the state inwhich you live, in the nation inwhich you live. As does every other American.

Apparently you missed out your entire 4th grade year when they taught American History how Laws in our country are constructed. Our laws are not based on Judeo-Christian precepts. They are based on 500 years of Anglo-Saxon law, that were predominant through the western world.
