Talk about the easy life
The average allowance for SNAP is about $1.50 per meal or $135+/-per month, per person. It would not take too many steaks to eat up the entire month's allowance.

I do not recall the last time I saw someone pay for their groceries with cash. Everyone swipes something.

That's hardly lavish and, no, $1.33 doesn't buy many luxury foods.
Nobody should expect lavish meals either. Hard to understand why people are almost proud to receive handouts.
Crazy.

Want to bet there is a correlation between the explosion of disability applications and the aging population?

The majority of applications are coming from people age 50-64. While the number of applications is surging the percentage of applications for disability has been declining.

A family friend in his mid 50's has dystonia. He can no longer talk, swallow or work. There is no doubt about his disability and no cure. The most common treatment is BOTOX injections. These have failed. He lives off of Slim Fast ( cheaper than Ensure) and chokes on it. I suspect he's down to around 100 pounds.

He's on his third attempt to get approved for permanent disability. At this rate, he will die before getting approved.

Where are the stats on the number of children also receiving free school breakfasts and lunches during the school year? Also where are the stats on the number of children who receive free lunches at churches, community centers, public pools etc. on an organized grant-funded-basis throughout the summer when school is out?

Those wanting to divert the conversation and speak to the issue of corporate welfare have valid points, that they should raise when they start another thread.

That is crazy, given how rare it is. Some diagnosis should move people to the top of the list.

All this speculation about how easy it is to get permanent disability .....hogwash.

We will hire an attorney for him to help expedite matters if he is denied again.
