Yet we need to feed these same children in school because they're not being fed at home.

Go figure....
This is what I don't get. The same kids getting free lunch get food stamps. I understand free lunches but why are we giving away free breakfast and even dinners? Can't these parents make breakfast and dinner with their food stamps?

You sound ridiculous, not to mention filled with anger. And before you go off on another crazed rant yelling at anyone who disagrees with you to "GET A JOB," I already have one. I have never been on welfare or food stamps, but that doesn't mean I have to hate or belittle those who have utilized those programs. You have the nerve to call someone shameful because they truthfully point out that there are many elderly, disabled, and children on welfare and food stamps. But then you turn around and accuse people of only voting for the president because he's black. Where is your shame for making that ignorant statement? You seriously need to educate yourself on a wide variety of issues.
Why else would they vote for him. Did he do anything for them?

And the Obama voter showed their ignorance all through the election and continue to do so. So let me ask you, black Americans have been hit the hardest and unemployment remains higher then the rest. If Obama did not do anything for them why do they vote for him. I'll even bet there are some, black and white who voted for him because they think (and 5 years later still wait) they think Obama is going to give them a higher amount of money or increase benefits. Still waiting?

I have always wondered that. I worked in a Title I school where we sent back packs of food home for kids on the weekends too.

This is what I found out....

1. EBT funds were often used by a parent to subsidize a food cart, selling water bottles, or other things for cash under the table.
2. Two children in a household of eight were citizens, EBT funds were used for feeding non citizens.
3. Lazy Mothers purchased prepared foods and pizza at Papa Murphy's, and ran out of moeny mid cycle.
4. EBT funds were used fraudulently at the Korean bodega, for cigarettes and beer, charging double and manual entry to work around checks in place.
5. Abusive parents would eat, like kings, and tell the kids to eat at school.

There are a number of reasons...it was amazing to me, that school had more food for free than you can imagine. Fridays a food bank brought baskets of food, for people without transportation. Filled with fresh produce, rice, beans, cheese, tuna. We had WIC workers at our school once a month, for enrollment. And....wait for this....we had children so obese at our school, girls in THIRD GRADE, were having periods!

I can tell you never visited the area.

The local environment had nothing to do with it. Right!

It is ALL those evil investors.

Tell me, do buy ANYTHING that supports those you despise so much.? Why do you support them if you despise them so much??

What is your real complaint?

Did ANY of them break any laws? If you don't like the existing laws work to get them changed.

Why do you have to bring race into it? Yes, blacks are 3 times more likely to be on welfare than their population would suggest. Yes, whites are underrepresented.

What is the point though?

There has been some historical reasons for black poverty - not as an excuse for all cases, but as a whole.

What one person receives without working for...another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they worked for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation!

Republicans kept offering a hand up and Democrats a handout. Handouts being easier they were accepted over a hand up. Even blacks that did not take handouts were glad that they were available so they wouldn't have to be responsible for their brothers and sisters. They voted and still vote to keep government handouts going because it is easier than arguing with those who won’t work or taking care of those who can’t. This is a syndrome that has now infected all of our society and the Democratic Party has solidified its base of those who want government to be responsible instead of being responsible themselves.

Why Do Blacks Vote Democrat?
