A picture snapped by a parade-goer at a parade in Hope Mills NC shows a man on a tractor flying a confederate flag and pulling a wagon loaded with watermelons. A sign on the trailer read: “White History Month. Hug WTE PPL.”
Town officials said when the farmer applied for the parade permit he would be hawling watermelons with a sign they are for sale at a nearby bank.
Yeah but the guy got his point across. Nothing wrong with white pride if it is tasteful, trouble is try getting a white history month established nationally....this is a little distasteful but still, nothing wrong with white pride.
NC is an odd place, you really can see the divergent groups, you have Asheville,
and then you have :Statesville, or Eden NC. a place with many "rallies" which I wont post a link.
I got lost in Salisbury one late evening driving home from the airport in Charlotte. Scary.
