Yes, that's what they do. My partner is Korean, I lived in Korea for 5 years, and we lived in Koreatown in LA for 4 years after that. When this incident first happened, it was widely discussed in the Korean community both in-person and online. We got a good laugh because this is exactly what the elderly Koreans do in Korea, where it is the norm. However, in their new country, it is not the norm, so they should make an attempt to assimilate.
Interesting.
I had four fraternity brothers in college who are Korean. Two were born here, one came over when he was 5, and one when he was 9. My brother who came over when he was 5 was a roommate of mine for a year. Two of them grew up in LA, and two in OC. All eight of their parents were born and raised in South Korea. All spoke about their culture, but for some reason they never talked about the activities of retired people in the Korean community.

Common Sense has left society. I realize that restaurant make their money and are able to stay in business due to table turns. Eat your meal, drink your drink in a relaxed, reasonable amount of time, then LEAVE. If you want to hang out somewhere go to a public park, or library where our tax dollars fund that behavior for everyone.
