The pet forum is for animal lovers primarily. The "Pit Bull" menace to society belongs here. If you don't like the story just ignore it.

Am I the only one who finds it genuinely impossible to form an opinion about pit bulls? Seems impossible to find information from a neutral enough source...

Pit Bulls are very loving animals. They are a child's best friend...... Until that child happens to step on it's foot. Then he uses his/her face as a chew toy.

Hard to ignore when you're cluttering up the front page of this forum with "I hate pitbull" threads.

In this story, three children were attacked and bitten severely by 2 pitt bulls and a lab mix. The dogs attacked after children had been playing with them all day.

The owner has been cited in the past for dog related violations, so he has already been blamed, or as is so often said, "been held responsible".

__________________________________________________ ______________________________________

This attack occurs on the same day as an attack in Phoenix. In that attack "five Bullmastiff/pit bull mixes" attacked a 72 year old woman who was injured severely. The dogs were euthanized because that attack happened in Arizona, which has a Republican governor, 2 Republican Senators, A Republican President of the Senate, and a Republican Speaker of The House, as well as an open carry law.
The article doesn't say whether the owner was euthanized, too, but with that open carry thing, you never know......

In the first article, SOME children, not THESE children had been playing with the dogs all day.... It also says that the reason for the attack is not known.... the fact that the dogs' owner has already been cited for dog related violations tells me all I need to know about that owner and how he has raised and handled his dogs..... most AC's don't bother with citations unless or until a violation is pretty egregious.....

and what... are you saying Republicans are pit bull haters?? I attribute a lot to members of that party, but even I hadn't gone that far....

lastly, NO ONE has EVER said that there are no bad pit bulls.... there ARE.... just as there are bad labs, goldens, mastiffs, rottweilers, gsds, cocker spaniels, poodles and dalmations....
