I consider the "bad guys" the people who willingly choose to have a Pit Bull and it ends up attacking someone. Right behind them are the Pit Bull apologizers who try to explain away the attack, never blaming the dog. Oh, its the bad owner, its that he is mixed, that he was antagonized. All a crock of ****. Banning the breed is the only way to fix this problem. I am sure there are plenty of Pit Bulls out there that are great dogs but why risk the chance on this dog. It has caused too many problems and is already being banned in many areas.

Holding owners responsible is like closing the barn door after the horse already got out. Ban the breed, you ban the deed. The land sharks must go.

Default Another community considers banning...

They're debating which measures will be easiest to implement and defend from challenges. Great comments below, too.

A cursory trip through google readily found many positive pit bull stories. I have heard many more, but I won't waste my morning hunting them down. And there are thousands upon thousands of poositive experiences with pit bulls that don't qualify as "news" that occur all day every day. For the record, some of these dogs may be misidentified as pit bulls, just as it is with the bad stories that we hear.

And Pit Bulls aren't the only things Minnesota could do without. We really need better immigration control. And has the word "DEPORT" fallen out of our lexicon?

What really gets my goat is that "authorities" were actually considering charging the victim dog's owner for stabbing the Pit Bull to death - on his own property - in his own FENCED backyard - with the Pittie's jaw clamped onto his own dog's throat. Only the fact that there documented previous attacks saved this man from being charged.
