Oh he isn't the only white Q but he is not "by far" the only white Q he is definitely the extreme minority and I can only imagine the dehumanizing hazing he had to go through.

Guess what, most people want to be around people that are the same race as themselves, that includes Whites, Asians and Blacks.....nothing wrong with that.
The Congressional Black Caucus refused to allow a White congressman to join, even though he represented a majority Black district. Where was the outrage over that? If the United States Congress can racially discriminate, then surely sororities and fraternities can as well, especially considering that they're private entities.

And when is the last time that 'whitey' was allowed membership to the NAACP even though the NAACP was founded by a majority of White Socialists?
The actual founding members of the NAACP include Mary White Ovington (founder), Morefield Storey (1st president), Joel Spingarn (2nd president), and John Dewey, co-founder of the ACLU.
Each was essentially socialist in philosophy and seized the opportunity to advance the socialist-progressive movement by incorporating the black struggle and anti-racism efforts during the early 1900's.
The article that this thread is about isn't correct.
The resolution that was offered was non-binding and was basically supportive of affirmative action in fraternities. Whether that's good or bad, it's a lot different than what the headline implies - that they could legally keep people of different color out.
White sororities are nothing more than a 4-year long slumber party for women whose primary goal is looking for the MRS. degree from potential high $$ earners. Black sororities are about community, connections and progress. The majority of black sorority members are active members for life and past the legacy on to their daughters and granddaughters. The same can not be said for white sororities.

My sorority had black women in it. Granted there weren't a whole bunch of black kids on campus to begin with, like 10 out of 2000 students, but that's the way it was. At least and until my Jr. year and the college decided more diversity was needed on campus. Only black diversity, though.
So my Jr. year there were a group of about 20-25 "new students" of all ages (black). They came in with a huge chip on their shoulders and "grouped up". Went to all meals (only one dining hall) together, met up after classes to walk to and from their dorms (weren't rooming with white kids, the horror!) and called themselves, ready for it? "The Posse".
And I went to a liberal arts college in the NE.
I don't know where you are getting your information from. My sorority was all about community outreach, altruism, networking, connections and progress and 20 years later? It still is and so many of my sisters including my pledge class and other pledge classes who are "inactive" and who are in their late 30s early 40s with jobs and kids....are STILL helping/involved with the chapter. Maybe that's because we had two black sisters.

Is it any surprise that white students in an Alabama school want to ban blacks from their ranks? This reflects entirely on the supreme ignorance and backwardness of the white students who support this discrimination.
Those racist white students still fighting the civil war don't realize that black students would actually be slumming to lower themselves to be around such scum.
No doubt this racist scum overwhelmingly support the Republican party.
