Actually how do you define right wing?

Looking at wikipedia:
"Right-wing politics are political positions or activities that accept or support social hierarchy or social inequality"

Right-wing politics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ouch. Turns out she isn't the only one that defines it that way.

I went and read it. I don't agree with the term. However, the rest of the article wasn't too bad.

ETA: How do I define right wing politics?

Well, if you are looking at the median of the spectrum since each 'wing' encompasses quite a bit, I consider right wing politics to be rights-protecting, pro-sovereignty, and anti-statist. I also believe those aforementioned tend towards capitalism and free market systems. That's a very basic definition but will suffice.

Sooo..not much here.
Nixon was hardly a right winger. He supported a national ban on handguns. He used and thus implicitly supported the "Fairness Doctrine" which is now advocated by people like Feinstein, Schumer, Reid, and Pelosi. He imposed wage and price controls, which I doubt that even Pres. Obama would try. Nixon was to the left of Obama; he was not a right-winger at all.

Kinda weird, I too thought that a bit over the top for a definition so I figured, hey lets look up definition and provide a proper one....realized it was a phrase not a word, so checked Wikipedia for it. And while yes anyone CAN edit Wikipedia if you check the history its been that way for a long time, with no disputes recently.

I didn't describe him as a right winger, or imply anything beyond being a Republican of his time.

Sooo...the one guy doing many good things.....you wish to deny? Ahhh OK......

Yeah, that was my thought too. I'll admit, it kind of surprised me to see that term used. Eh - it's Wikipedia. I'm not going to get too up in arms about it.

I remember the right-wing objecting to everything positive in this country. That's all they know how to do. Their whole ideology is defunct.
