Rubio's statement was really over the top. He came off as shrill and uncompromising and obscenely partisan. He showed little statemanship and a lot of immaturity. It may be the thing that does him in. Honestly, he is on the opposite side of the Pope? I think this decision to normalize is one that most Americans will strongly support and frankly, wonder why it took so long.
