Cuba has not been a threat to the US since 1959, it's unfortunate but Castro has been the dictator we don't like. We loved Noriega, Marcos, the Shah of Iran not so much with the Castro's. We are punishing the people of Cuba at this point, our policy has not worked and it's time to try some diplomacy.
Baloney. Just because we have supported unsavory thugs in the past is no reason to prop up Cuba's geriatric duo of Joe Stalin wannabes.
And our policy has worked just fine, thank you. The Cubans have been living in a garbage can for fifty years, which is an appropriate fate for the hatred they have shown to America.
After Fidel and Raul have croaked, let the Cuban commies come begging to us. Maybe then we can let them visit Florida and clean motel rooms.
Or are you really so naive as to belive that a name change has made Russia less totalitarian and authoritarian?
Russia is not a "Communist" country and the whole dynamics has changed. There will be no cruise missiles on Cuban soil. Are you too ignorant to understand these facts?

The ignorance is yours for failing to realize that state authoritariansim a la Putin is identical in effect to state socialism a la Brezhnev. Or is Putin's apparent lifetime rule just a figment of his people's imagination?
As for the future existence of missiles on Cuba, you are hardly in a position to make a claim one way or the other. The fact there is precedence for such a thing makes me more wary than you seem to be...
really??? Mohammad Mosaddegh was elected by the people in Iran in democratic elections????? they had democratic elections in Iran in 1950? Amazing!!! they must have given you a different history class than the rest of the world.
Allende was never elected to power democratically by the majority of Chileans.......and the power that deposed him was his own Armed Forces "LA JUNTA" and the political opposition (moderates & conservatives) and the Catholic Church in Chile for Allende who was a communist violating their rights and violating the Chilean Constitution, so they revolted and rightly deposed of him. The U.S.A didn't use 1 American tank or put 1 American soldier in Chile to deposed of Allende.
Arbenz was deposed by his political opposition in Guatemala with the help of the U.S.A. during the cold war......plus Arbenz got to power by fraud elections not democratically.
try again!......name me a leader of any country that was democratically elected by the majority of the people that the U.S.A deposed?
Uhhh...the Majlis in Iran nominated Mossadegh. That was their system genius. Thats what happens in a Parliamentary system.
Duuuuuuuh!
As for Allende, you have no idea what you're talking about. The whole affair was planned and financed by Kissinger. The murder of General Rene Schneider was also engineered and paid for by the CIA.
Agree on that. My point is Ike and Nixon, unlike the neocons (Wilsonians) had no qualms about undermining democracy if they believed it served our national interests. The Truman Doctrine really guided much of American foreign policy from 1945 till 1991.

As a rational human being...yes, I am in the position to make such a claim.

Claim on. How about that moon of cheese out tonight, Mr. Rational?
