But don't completely follow through.......I.e., Their fault.

If you are a student you have a legal right to register to vote at your college address, however, due to the nature of being a student this address changes frequently so IDs are not often up to date. Legal voter disinfranchised. Result legal voter disinfranchised.

Update your license before the election. These elections don't often just pop up out of nowhere. If you dont' keep you stuff together...thats your fault. Further....it doesn't happen anymore.

If you are a black and were born in the south prior to desegregation often records are poor and hospitals were segregated and thus closed to blacks as a result there are a fair amount of minorities who do not have proof of birth. Result legal voter disinfranchised.

I've never heard of an African Ameican not having proof of birth. If they have a social...they should have proof of birth. I could see this being an issue if true....but i've never heard of it.

see above.

All members of minority groups are on public assistance?...and people wonder why people call conservatives racist.

In otherwords you want to disinfranchise people for trivial things and or force people to make yearly trips to the DMV.

Again this reveals the true purpose of what the GOP is doing. They don't want people to vote.

Again with the "minorities." Why assume that all minorities are too dumb to get an ID card. Are they incompetent in your opinion? I have confidence in them to do what they need to vote if it's something they truly care about.

You're calling conservatives racist? Pot...meet kettle.

So making trips to the DMV for an hour is "disenfranchising". Off to check your past replies on any and all gun-related threads.

Why is proving that you are who you say you are and that you live in the state you wish to vote in "Trivial" in our state based elections?

I'm sure the hypocrisy will flow like beer at Mardi Gras.

You could try using Google - there's no lack of incidents.
Just like there's no lack of incidents of voter fraud, yet for some reason, Democrats ALWAYS claim that it's not an issue.

Well, if the limited number of [known] cases of voter fraud aren't a problem, then the limited number of "disenfranchised" voters isn't a problem, either.

Page 13 of his relies found the first one:

"What I find interesting and disingenous about this argument is that Chicago had a lot of its gun regulations struck down by the far right supreme court and after that the murder rate skyrocket. Yet Republicans love to point this out as how gun control doesn't work, while clearly ignoring the fact that in McDonald v. Chicago the SCOTUS got rid of a fair amount of Chicago's tough gun laws."

So the SCOTUS striking down complete bans on ownerships = right wing SCOTUS

But requiring someone to go to the DMV every few years on average, or god forbid renew online(!), to make sure their ID is current (like everyone who drives a car!) = right wingers keeping people down.

Needing to get permission to go with your gun for self protection in a public bank:
"I am going to go with the permission of the bank on that one. You do understand the idea of getting permission right? Especially as it relates to bringing stuff onto someone else's property."

So I need permission to go with a constitutional right. What about permission of whites/blacks/hispanics. Maybe the bank doesn't want "their kind" on the premises, they might hurt someone.

Egbert seems pretty OK with having guns taken away once a domestic violence call is put against someone, whether or not the call was warranted. Though he does seem to think that all DV calls are so I give a pass.

I'm sure I could find more.

You guys do have trouble with facts. The groups most impacted by voter ID were found to be blacks and the young. Fact Read the GAO report.

I know of no substantial issue with voting without ID. The one big set of illegal voters in south Florida all had ID.
