He's come out now as an activist against Affirmative Action...but ONLY after he attempted to use it for his own benefit and ONLY after he dropped out because he wasn't smart enough to stay in the medical program.
I agree with you completely. I don't think this guy is a hero.
Affirmative Action is just the Left's ultimate manifestation of their "two wrongs make a right" philosophy.
"Every time the government uses racial criteria to 'bring the races together,' someone gets excluded, and the person excluded suffers an injury solely because of his or her race."
~Justice Clarence Thomas
"The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race,"
~Chief Justice, John Roberts
Is Clarence Thomas worried about the people excluded as a result of HIM admittedly using AA to get into Yale?

Had he made it through school, his tune would be different. In fact, he'd be singing no tune at all. It would've never come to light.
St Louis is a private school and they can have any admissions policy they want.
But the guy played himself like fool. Maybe I'm wrong, but he sounds like a loser to me.
I think he's an opportunist who is just now pushing a book to make a buck.
But the truth of the matter is, is that as an Indian with those grades/scores he had a MUCH lower chance of being accepted to med school than he did as an African American.

Nah...He's pretty much a loser. Just because he had a 3.1 GPA doesn't mean that he wasn't smart enough to complete the program. Every doctor isn't a damn genius. This guy is just a dope.

No argument.
But he got in...under false auspices, but ok. I don't even have an issue with him lying to get in. Great.
But why was AA so great when he found it useful, but bad after he was too lazy to apply himself and had to drop out?
If he was gonna employ dishonesty, the least he could've done is graduated so that the spot he took from another kid wouldn't be in vain. The kid whose spot he took would've probably worked his ass off to prove that he belonged.

Dropping the bar to the lowest common denominator is what extreme socialism is all about. If unqualified people benefit from being admitted to school what do you expect to get from a graduate who gamed his way through school?
I say give everyone who is qualified regardless of race a free education and let them swim or sink on their own.

agreed! Doesn't even have to be "free", let the qualified folks pay for their own education. No one complains
