Again about "freaking out" over Fox news, I provided some statistics about Fox news and their ratings represent a tiny portion (about 1%) of the nation’s population on their best showing.
Hard to be too concerned about such a small group of folks, but the thinking or draw of those who do make up that one percent is a little concerning...
Again some facts, "What we learn from the Pew study is that Fox’s appeal among young viewers sets a low water mark for the network. Millennial respondents in the study say that they trust Fox News less than any other news source. A plurality of 43% distrust Fox News. That’s significantly more than the next lowest source, Rush Limbaugh, who is also distrusted by far more millennials (32%) than trust him (4%). The 43% of Millennials who distrust Fox is nearly three times the number who distrust MSNBC (15%).
Looking at the numbers from the other direction, the percentage who trust Fox (35%) is less than CNN (60%), MSNBC (37%), and 4 to 12 points less than the three broadcast news networks. Even sources like the Daily Show and Al Jazeera, whose sample sizes are smaller, are still rated with more viewers that trust them than distrust them, compared to Fox’s net distrust results.
Politics: what if Americans were more interested in the facts rather than indulging in sensationalism, propaganda and biased rhetoric? Which way do you lean, vote, and why? Facts and sound reason, please to the extent possible, critical thinking. For all the rest, there is always Fox news.
There are no real political parties anymore.. there is only the socialist/capitalist litmus test.
There are socialists in both Republican and Democratic parties as there are capitalists.
In the end, you are either a socialist (gender/race sensitive, prop 42 equality driven, union member) or a capitalist (don't care if you are black, white, spanish, asian we're all immigrants as long as you contribute to prosperity type)
The recession was caused by irresponsible mortgage lending, thanks to policies established by Democrats and Republicans alike in order to get everyone into a home... even those who couldn't afford one or responsible enough to make the payments. So that's not a left or right issue, we can blame our entire government and PC nonsense for that. But that's a whole different rabbit hole to explore...
Exactly, which is why no one went to jail for it.
Interesting admission by Barney Frank MUCH after the fact, and after he retired from Congress:
Quote:
"Former Democratic Rep. Barney Frank, co-author of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, said in a recent forum on the crisis that the government — through its decades-long national homeownership campaign and affordable housing goals — "propelled" lenders and investors to excesses they would not have otherwise gone to in the absence of such political incentives.
Frank, former chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, made the stunning remarks at the close of a 90-minute panel discussion hosted by the American Action Forum and held earlier this month in Washington
....But soon, Frank dropped several unexpected bombshells in response to questioning by the moderator, CNBC anchor Steve Liesman.
Asked about the government's affordable housing goals compelling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before the crisis to devote more than half their portfolios to riskier nonprime mortgages for low-income borrowers, Frank blurted out: "No more goals, no more telling the private sector" how to invest in the housing market.
"Barney," Liesman asked, "are you suggesting that the goals of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the concept of promoting homeownership, was something that contributed to the crisis?

So you arent claiming the Banks are innocent at all, you are just saying you believe in the slippery slope theory of everything.
MSNBC has never claimed to be unbiased, where as FOX has.
There is a gigantic difference between being biased and saying to the world that you are going to explain your case on why you believe what VS Actually being biased and then claiming you arent.
Fox Also does what you said all the time, they simple quote a statement and add a couple of "....." and then saying " you decide what you think he meant". Another tactic they use is asking on guest who themselves lie and then saying something along the lines of " The comments made are that of the opinions of our guest, and Fox may not necessarily agree with those opinion".
its pure B.S. hiding behind technicalities.
Foxnews represents a divisive "northern conservatism", which conservatives in other regions don't identify with, specifically their socialist enclaving of political philosophy to fit their own specific definition of it. I don't consider FoxNews representative of my own personal views, instead see them as a divisive media group not much different than most other liberal media stations.
Most of their talking heads are 3rd generation Irish and Italian Catholic immigrants. nothing wrong with that, just saying their biases run with their particular interest groups and heritage and not through general Conservative policy.

You can always tell a liberal, but they won't hear much. Go back to your MSNBC echo chamber to hear all the facts you agree with.
