The 2nd amendment says no background checks? I think not.

1) I'm not a member of the NRA. I'm a Constitutionalist.

2) Obama can't even get Congressional Dems to support what he's doing because even they know their Dem constituents are 2nd Amendment proponents.

But, sure, let the Dem 2016 candidate run on gun control...

In the meantime, it was a banner year for gun deaths in every inner city, where mass shootings are common. Obama refuses to focus on correcting any of that. Current strict guns laws haven't prevented anything in the gang-infested areas. The gangs won't be bothered in the least by his Obama's pen to paper effort. But it will be harder for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

"There is no reason some need 5 to 15 guns"

Your lack of knowledge on guns is OUTSTANDING!

Adam Lanza murdered his Mother and then stole her guns for the Sandy Hook Massacre.

Not a single thing he wants to do (ignoring the fact that a Democratically held Senate rejected all of this) would have stopped any of those shootings.

Think the real goal is tightening up those background checks, adding more requirements. Define mental illness, perhaps anyone who has ever been prescribed an antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication. That would take care of most of the population.

How long did it take you to think up that bit of stupidity? Did you even bother to think before you posted?

I am a law abiding gun owner so I'm not defenseless.

It's only a problem when law-abiding people want guns for sport and self-defense. Gangbangers with guns? No problem.

It might take 10 years, maybe only 5. But it WILL make a difference in time.
" I think people are getting fed up with mass shootings"

And not ONE SINGLE THING Obama has done will change any of that.

How much did Obama say about the gang and drug shootings that happen EVER DAY?

" and weapons being available to just about anyone." More nonsense.

Maybe we should limit how many words people are allowed to say or type!

Obama just wants to stop the stupid people from killing one another.

You know who you are the people against mandatory background checks.

Yes, I did. Automobiles are more deadly, both in sheer numbers AND in statistical proportion. There are no restrictions on who can own an automobile. Even kids can own them. And owning an automobile isn't even a Constitutional Right that shall not be infringed.

How is it going to be harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves?
