There were witnesses who said she kicked the officer several times prior to him putting her on the ground. If I kick you several times, you have the right to do what you need to do. This was not about her back talking. Geez people, can you at least make a valid argument.

He didn't body slam her full force into the ground.
He swept her leg and she landed with relatively minimal force on her lower body. The difference between what you are describing and what actually happened is rather large.
Read the article. States he was not the school RSO, that the incident happened at 4pm. That he was called in for a fight. And that she was suspended three times previously and warned she would be arrested the fourth time.
