No. I would rather not everyone procreate.

This idea that officers should fight students has gotten out of hand.

first you do not know what everybody's job is here- nor what they know or not about Leos- and 2nd not all LEOS are good here this week 4 went down- sorry to say-- but it is true - If is s right it is RIGHT if it is wrong it is WRONG period-
this is not political- and these men need to stop man handling these students-
now, are there terrors on the other side of the fence? yes- we have some horrible thugs still 14/15- but they still are kids, and in this case, they are in a school environment - not in the streets

First - off what the heck is LEOS - define your terms when conversing with people.

There was never a need for security in any school I went to until high school and that was an old rent a cop - many kids in today's society have no respect because they haven't been taught it - that goes for kids from the ghetto to kids in the ritzy part of town - 12 yr olds today are not 12 yr olds of yesteryear - they've had sex, drink, smoke, made babies and murdered - sorry but these 14/15 yr old thugs are the 18/19 yr old thugs of yesteryear.

Go baby them all you want - but many of these kids would have no qualms killing you over a few bucks or robbing your house just for kicks. If she was assaulting him - then yes - he had every reason to take her down before both he and she were injured due to her lack of co-operation. And in many parts of town - the streets are the school environment.

Then you have no clue-- :LEO-- Law Enforcement Officer-- because there are Fed State and locals just refer to them as LEOS-
2- if the kids today have no respect is because not even the darn congress has respect- and I blame all of the TOP for that.
3-I raised 3 sons-have 6 grands- I know what's going on- and I am a city person Miami -Philly- Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando know what schools with 3000 to almost 5000 students look like - my kids went there.
4- fear overrides many-I understand-if you are afraid or cannot tolerate kids need to stay out of the environment - not all these school resource officers need to be there- they got the jobs- but this is not their expertise.
5- I am very sure this officer never, ever feared for his well being-
6- I do know what a LEO is, does, and should do- nothing else I can say about it in a forum

Well thank you for defining that - but it makes you no better than me because you expect everyone to know what it was. My uncle was a cop and a crappy one at that - was brought up more than once on his behavior - but the majority of cops are not like that and are trained to take down an out of control person - which this cop did without bodily harm. Quit blaming " the top " for the lack of respect - it's a parent's responsibility to instill respect - not the gov't.

Thank you sensei Marigold for your most informative comment, as if which martial art move really gets to the heart of the issue.
