You too, lack knowledge of what that affidavit does. It does not allow you to self identify. It simple puts you on the hook if you are not a Citizen and have filled out this form. A non-citizen can provide some of the ID's required if they are a legal(not illegal) immigrant but the fact that they are a non-citizen will turn up in the search. By checking that box you have provided legal means to purse you if what that affidavit states is not true.

Illegals are issued Tax ID #s:

A Tax ID# IS a SSN. Just posted the IRS link.

That affidavit allows anyone to "claim" to be a U.S. citizen based only on their "say so."

Tax id alone does not prove citizen status so you can't use it alone to register in person(in fact Need another document. It could provide address, but you still need a State ID or Driver's licencee )..

You need the last 4 digits of your SSN to do it by mail without a driver's licences or state id number. A tax id number isn't any of those.

Ah the IRS does not issue SSN numbers. It can use the SSN or other numbers like Employer Identification Number,Individual Taxpayer Identification Number,Taxpayer Identification Number for Pending U.S. Adoptions and Preparer Taxpayer Identification Number to keep track of who is filling out this form and paying taxes. Those numbers are the tax payer identification number.

The Social Security administration is who issues SSN.

The tax payer id number itself(if it is not an SSN) can not be used for voter registration.

Yes they are claiming it, but they are also proving it by the provided information and documents. If you fill out the form and don't provide the documents or information it will be rejected.

Based on what? Only the last 4 digits are required.

Illinois issues driver's licenses to illegals. The documents they require for a driver's license or state ID do not establish U.S. citizenship.

How is that determined on a voter registration application submission by the last 4 digits?

SSA, whatever... How can anyone tell by the last 4 digits if one is a U.S. citizen or not? Is one of those digits a "code" for citizen?

Like I said, illegals are given both driver's licenses and Tax ID numbers. Neither of which affords them the legal right to vote.
