Don't get upset, I can't be the only person to call you out on being a liar.
Haha upset? That's all you hun.
In the meantime, you can forward your complaint to the Washington Post if you think this is a lie:

Texas might be great for people who want trucks and barns as radiolibre said, more power to them, but Texas will not displace CA if it doesnt attract more people like the ones who tend to reside in the areas highlighted above.
But if those unmarried coastal people are in college or grad school( which absolutely tends to be the case), they are putting off the things you listed until they get a high paying job after graduation.
Except Ive already shown that California is home to 3 of the 10 top metros for upward mobility. Most of the Top 10 are on the west or east coast.
You care way too much what people you dont know think. Who cares?
College? Many of them prolly already graduated, 'man. Or they could be trying to break into Hollywood in LA. Or they could graduate and get high paying jobs and then after a while get lured to Austin, Portland, Dallas or OH where tech is also doing well. Then they'll discover it ain't so bad here why was i such an elitist blowhard like that guy 18Montclair??

Ok now I know you're trolling. Austin and Dallas are two areas where many CA transplants in tech are locating. They're earning high dollar and living well too. Why do you have this need to disparage?

I called you a liar, not the Washington Post you dolt. 😂 You're the only one in here pushing the Texas vs CA story, we are quite happy not being CA.
Yeah, according to them, those are the "undesirables" who couldn't cut in CA and deserved to be purged. They laugh about it over in the CA forum.
Yup, they sure do. And there are posters who've clearly never left the state who think everything between LA and NYC is Deliverance. Every defense is "Well I'd rather live here and pay a lot than live in Kansas, which is the 9th level of hell!" Most places in the US are a happy medium between California and Kansas.

Yes how do these enlightened ones not know that it's no longer NY or LA, SF or bust? Huge swathes of the country have developed. Moving out of CA isn't a tumble down the stairs downgrade anymore.

Don't forget about people who are screaming about having 7 of the top 10 US colleges in their state when they attended community college and dropped out.

While those are nice cities, we know that the Austins and Dallases of the world arent really attracting the top grads like SF is.

Related to that is data from this very interesting
article that is actually about LA, but reveals
extremely valuable insight on the geography of

Piedmont demographics ...74% white, 18% Asian, 1.3% African American, 3.9% Latino. By celebrating diversity I suppose that means just Asians and whites.
Median income..$134k ..males average $100k vs $58K for females...talk about income inequality.
Sounds like a nice bubble in a state with the highest poverty rate in the nation. No wonder he's so oblivious to the rest of the country....or even his own state.
Sorry, maybe he or someone else responded. Piedmont is completely surrounded by the city of Oakland. The hoods bordering Piedmont are pretty similar - more or less. Point being is the if someone lives in Piedmont they have to do all of their shopping in Oakland b/c Piedmont does not have a commercial district. Well, there is a bank, gas station and mini-mart coffee shop, oh, and on the border with Oakland, an Ace Hardware. I'm guessing that most of the posters here are or would be afraid of Oakland b/c they think it is a city filled with violent people of color. Yes?
California is the 6th largest economy in the world. There is a serious issue with income inequality. That is a good point. It needs work. As a country, we'd be bigger than France and Russia. BTW. the US is the biggest economy in the world. I wonder how it would fare without California?
