I'm saying that Planned Parenthood provides many services besides abortion to our nation's poor. I'm saying that they have an established network of clinics. I'm saying that it's irrational to want to shut down Planned Parenthood in light of all the good they do.
PP is redundant and unnecessary. There are MANY times more taxpayer-funded Public Health Department Clinics that provide women's health care services than there are PP facilities throughout the US.
No one is denying women contraception, education and health care.
Yes they are, the bill allows the states to exclude Title IX funding for health care , education and contraception to PP. That is exactly what this bill accomplishes, it has not one thing to do with abortion. They want to punish low income women because they don't like PP.

That is not true at all, there are not other clinics ready to fill the void in many of these low income areas. If they were redundant they would have been able to choose an alternative clinic already, these women choose PP but now you are going to direct them to another clinic that might be miles away because the GOP woke up one morning and decided they needed to close PP.
This isn't about efficiency, this is a bunch of right wing politicians deciding they need to destroy a system that is working because of their motivations. The vote had 48 men, 2 women and Pence deciding what is best for women's health care.

These other clinics are already over-burdened. That's why the waiting rooms are filled to over-flowing. Adding Planned Parenthood patients to the mix is going to mean a lot of people will simply not get the healthcare they need.

I don't think anybody serious wants to shut them down.
They just DON'T want Uncle Sam financing them being they are a PRIVATE business.
As all private businesses, they SHOULD be able to finance themselves.
The take contributions.
Let those that support EVERYTHING they do, give generously to keep them in business.
The lefties in Hollywood could give MORE then enough.
I'd bet they gave MORE to Hillary's campaign then they give to PP.
If they are that strapped for money, cut the salary of their CEO.
There should be no lack of support, but of course, we know the holier-than-thous control some states, local governments and charities, and they want to punish women for having sex.
Exaggerate much?
NOBODY wants to PUNISH women
When a woman CHOOSES to engage in sex, it is HER responsibility for the outcome NOT the taxpayers.
If you stick you hand in a fire and get burnt, whose fault IS THAT?

Sex is a raw instinct. It's not really like choosing whether to invest in stocks or bonds.
