Right now we're more interested in not funding something we don't have to. PP isn't entitled to government funding.

With the wonderful ACA everyone can use their mandated health insurance to get their health care from their doctors.

When a woman CHOOSES to engage in sex, it is HER responsibility for the outcome NOT the taxpayers.

If you stick you hand in a fire and get burnt, whose fault IS THAT?
And she is taking responsibility when she has an abortion. She is deciding what is best for herself and for her family.

And there are plenty of posters right on this forum who want to punish women.

It's interesting that when a woman chooses to have sex, she is "sticking her hand in the fire", but when a man chooses to have sex, it's still the woman's responsibility to deal with the consequences.

There are lots of things I'd be interested in not funding. Healthcare for the impoverished isn't one of them.

22 Family Planning Clinics, only 5 of which are PP facilities.
The red states will be the ones that want to close these PP clinics, I don't think you have to worry about Chicago. So you know that these poor rural areas in these red states will not be impacted, you're certain that this will be a smooth transition and women will continue to receive health care. What is the point of pulling funding from a functioning clinic that provides a service.

So why stop there, pull the title IX funding from all the family planning clinics after all you're out to save money.

The ACA does not cover those below the threshold.

Yeah, for me personally, I don't care where women get their abortion or who does it, as long as they are qualified. Should be allowed in the doctor's office as far as I am concerned. That is, as long as the doctor wants to do it.

So there is no reason on earth that We, The People should be funding an organization which provides services already available and whose president makes $600,000/year. The $528 million that Planned Parenthood got from the government last year is just another way to rip off the government.

We should use that $528 million and build 33 miles of Trump's wall.

Their shallow complaints about having to provide money for birth-control of all types, are just a smoke-screen to cover their true wishes to repress sex. Their attitudes belong back in the 19th Century, when the Victorian version of morality reared its ugly head, with their kind perpetuating it today. I've seen and suffered this at its perverse and stifling worst, as both my parents came from hardcore Victorian families. It should be no surprise that they were republicans.

PP facilities are located in areas that already have a HUGE overlap with numerous taxpayer-funded Family Planning Clinics. As such, they're redundant and unnecessary. If PPs were located in poor rural areas, that would be different, but they're not.

And using one's insurance, e.g. Medicaid, to obtain family planning services is being responsible.

I don't think you understand the ACA. Medicaid expansion is part of it.
