I can support it because Assad broke his agreement in 2013 to get rid of the chemical weapons. Inaction only emboldens these thugs.

It isn't JUST Obama's fault. We have been screwing with the ME for at least 100 years now, trying to create civilized Democracies. And sacrificing American lives the whole time. We refuse to learn.

What I find interesting is that the same Republican senators who said Obama shouldn't act in 2013 are now praising trump for the same exact action in 2017.

I don't necessarily have an issue with the action, but more with the timing and motivation. This was an awfully quick 180.

If trump starts taking in Syrian refugees, I'll reconsider. But this looks to me like a welcome distraction from Russiagate for him. I don't buy that he was suddenly so moved by the pictures of dying children.
This is pretty much my take on it.

Though, really, I'd prefer the US not jump into any more wars.

If nothing else, with these attacks, Trump contradicted himself.

Before being president, Trump had no idea how difficult it can be making decisions and how quickly things can change.

But no, Trump must loves to hear himself talk

Tr(ch)ump is unstable. Easily provoked into starting a war. But I guess the war profiteers are happy.

Incorrect.

This isn't according to the Press. The USA specifically did not use pilots for fear of getting hit by Russian SAMs

The Russians are now taking punitive action against the USA for it. This includes vowing to increase Assad's air defense system.
In response Moscow has already pledged to strengthen Assad's air defences, will stop sharing intelligence with Washington and has diverted its main Black Sea fleet warship The Admiral Grigorovich to the Syrian port of Tartus. It is currently in the Bosphorus and will enter the Mediterranean later today.

Just what we need. A president that makes decisions impulsively from an emotional basis without knowing all the facts. I can see the terrorists now , happy as pigs in slop. They have a live one.

God only knows where this will go. I'm sure there will be more gas attacks. If they can sucker us once, they'll try it again.
