Oddly (not really) there are very few artists that people go see for their later work. The vast majority outside of a very, very, very few do their best work when they are young. Someone like Neil Young or Tom Waits being exceptions of still having it late in life.

No one goes to see Paul McCartney perform his post 1980 work either.

So many great bands have had that "difficult" but talented guy ruin everything for them.
