So sad... I grew up with Pink Floyd! Money was the hit of the time that was played at my Jr High graduation.

Officials want Nassau Events to cancel Roger Waters concert | Newsday

Quote:
Waters has been labeled an anti-Semite by the Anti-Defamation League. His concerts often feature visuals such a flying pig emblazoned with a Star of David.

Yes.

Is this a new concept for you? Anti-capitalists who make money? Gee, I'm sorry. This isn't a new thing.

This. Pink Floyd was a great band 40 years ago. Now it's time for Roger to hang it up and call it a day and stop trying to pretend he is any good. Hasn't wrote anything remotely good or groundbreaking since the 70's yet still pretends he's cool and not a total douche.

His own has its issues, and he could stay busy enough playing to his fans there, but I guess he's just doing as Romans do with the venue here.

I used to like Floyd well enough. However the classic rock stations here have quite burned me out on them and Zeppelin as well. And a couple specific US bands. One can count on hearing Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Van Halen offered up in just about every play set. Meh. I can't care what any band or celebrity types think of US leadership and policies. Thankfully, I don't have to listen to any of them.
Interestingly enough, The Beatles were against the ginormous taxes England imposed on their income. No matter. Still one of my faves.

I respect artists and I understand their sole purpose isn't to kiss my arse and appeal to MY sensitivities.

If I stopped listening to (or watching) every artist or actor that was opposite of my political liking it would be a very lonely and boring world. I can always get past their views and respect their work. I recognize no one is perfect and we all have flaws....
