Anyone who is supposedly fan enough of Roger Waters to go see the show should not be surprised he got political. It's not exactly a new thing, or a secret!
That's what I thought when I read the original post.
Pink Floyd was never a favorite of mine and this wasn't them anyway. British bands have always tended to stick their noses out in commentary on American politics. The Beatles sort of kicked that trend off. Personally I can care less what Waters thinks about our country. His own has its issues, and he could stay busy enough playing to his fans there, but I guess he's just doing as Romans do with the venue here.
I used to like Floyd well enough. However the classic rock stations here have quite burned me out on them and Zeppelin as well. And a couple specific US bands. One can count on hearing Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Van Halen offered up in just about every play set. Meh. I can't care what any band or celebrity types think of US leadership and policies. Thankfully, I don't have to listen to any of them.
Roger Waters IS Pink Floyd. Without him, they were nothing more than a sick joke playing watered down pop rock crap.
I bet you $100 that I can play songs from 2 Pink Floyd concerts, both with and without Roger Waters and you wouldn't be able to tell me which is which.

Play them without Roger Waters songs and see how many show up.

Pink Floyd is over. Waters is just a former member of a band performing without the band. Not worth the price of those tickets, and three nights in a row at venues...but if people will pay it why not.
I had some middle aged fanboy at another concert bragging to me he was taking his kid to see Waters, and how it was going to be the experience of a lifetime for the kid. Uh, ok. The kid probably fell asleep.
Waters is a great musician and he has always been political but now he has gone off the deep end. I bet there wasn't a ticket for less than $150 for that show. I would be pissed too.

The band no longer performs as Pink FLoyd.
