In my first year in USA, after passing 2 rounds of interviews, I was denied a job because of "not enough credit history". Ok, you saw in my resume that I (LEGALLY) immigrated to USA 8 months ago, how can I have a long credit history in USA?
So I figured out that I don't want to work with stupid people.

I say no. Honestly I would love to see a correlation between bad employees and credit history.

Many states it is against the law for an Employer to run a credit check on applicants, unless it is a job that requires security clearance of some sort.

If you are not responsible enough to pay your own bills I sure as hell don't want you working for me.

Sure, no reason not to allow it. If someone isn't responsible enough to manage their day to day finances, they probably are not someone a company should be hiring.

Things are getting stupid with the sense of entitlement these days. Though this isn't as bad as the idiots that say a company shouldn't be able to check an applicant's criminal record.

I agree that it is a catch-22 situation, but there is also the issue of not paying bills on time and what that says about an individual's priorities.

As for POC not having a shot at certain careers, BOO-HOO, cry me a ****ing river!

My white male nephew can't even take college classes until he first researches the field to see if white males are locked-out due to affirmative action and anti-white-male hiring practices.

Somebody ****s on you and you can get a lawyer and sue.

The world doesn't work like that for white males, and paying our bills on time doesn't change that.

FYI: Most check background which looks for credit write offs.

Most do not include actual scores.

That is why the background checks are so cheap. They take very little time, as they simply , via automation, scan for a very limited quantity of factors, at a very high level.

To me, credit worthiness means the individual has integrity and good judgement. It means the person’s word can be counted on.

What you said about the president is true. That is one of the many reasons I did not vote for him. I voted for the pothead because he’s honest.
