These are the kind of people who would tell you that if the fire department saves 500 lives in house fires, but two people die in fires, that means we should disband the Fire Department because it isn't perfect.
There were approximately 170,000 illegal border crossings in 2016. In the same year there were 739,478 visa overstays. Tens of thousands of women, mainly from Russia and China come to the US to have their babies, in 2014 60,000 Chinese alone.

Building a 30 foot wall is just a stupid red meat issue for Trump supporters, it will do virtually nothing to solve the problem of illegal immigration.

So we dont build a wall, and basically have open borders, let all the illegal immigrants come in, only to find out they cant get a job, so they resort to criminal activities (i.e. theft, kidnapping, selling drugs/guns, etc)

I dont think e-verify is the solution.

Heh. Training kicked in, I am thinking in terms of bringing my unit with me over the obstacle.

If they can't work they will leave. They don't come here for the beaches, theirs are every bit as good.

Just because some Vietnamese tactical team did it doesn't mean that woman and children or even male illegal aliens could do it. If some managed to do it you don't think we'd be on it like fleas on a dog and put a stop to it?
Or they will come over like many, if not most, do by truck air or water.

We can also spend a fraction of the cost of the wall on hiring more border patrol, or putting the national guard on the border, and then use that remaining money that would have been wasted on this to actually benefit our own people.

Yes, because everyone who doesn’t want the wall never suggests any other ways to (actually) tackle the problem more efficiently and all want a free for all. Uh huh.

Exactly! Going along with your Fire Dept. analogy, they'd claim we shouldn't address the fires because there are more floods than fires.

lmao hahaha you cant be serious! where are they gonna go? Canada?

Here's my honest take on this whole thing. I believe most Liberals here aren't really against a wall or protecting our borders, but rather agaisnt the man who campaigned on it. Had this been a Liberal idea, Liberals would be glad to fund a 30 trillion dollar wall 100 feet high around the continental US, LOl.

Be honest, you hate Trump more than you hate this wall.

Scorn Liberals; that's all it is.

Please re-read my last response to you more carefully. How are they going to come by truck if they can't get it thru those difficult and dangerous areas because the easier routes have been walled? How many Mexicans are flying over here illegally or coming by water? No one is saying that the wall will be 100% effective but 85-90% isn't good enough? WTH? Do I need to post those links again showing how effective those good walls have been?

Why do people have walls around their homes and businesses then if they aren't a deterrant? Surely you know that it keeps out most unwanted entry, don't you?
