Isn't it great when the ignorant who know nothing about firearms want to dictate what we can, and can't have. They ignore all the information we've given them on the AR-15, and its puny, little small game round. Yes, it can kill, but there are much more powerful guns out there. The AR-15, nor any other semi auto rifle are no WMD's. That's just the emotion of the Left for you. Totally irrational, and ignorant of the facts.

and I could kill 100 with my 44mag revolver in less time than the tiny ar15 that MISSED MORE THAN THE MENTAL IDIOT hit

And then to top it off, they attempted do what all propaganda tries to do: turn the world upside-down and convince the audience that making MORE restrictions on people somehow makes them more free.

And to seal the deal, they tried to tap into religious zeal gospel style and make the whole thing into a memorable psuedo-religious experience.

People of America... I don't even care what your personal stance on gun control is anymore, but please, just tell me you are more sophisticated than 100 year old propaganda techniques. Cause if you're not... we are ALL doomed to repeat the horrors of the previous century.
I would like those kids to keep it up.

I hope they do. God bless every one of them.

Anyone with more than two brain cells bouncing around in their skull realizes that the ban on assault weapons will, by necessity, lead to further bans. Why? Because banning the AR-15 won't do diddly-squat to stop mass shootings. Mass shootings took place long before the AR-15 became popular, and they will continue to take place with other firearms if the ban on "assault weapons" goes into effect. You don't stop the behavior of psychopaths by taking away the tool that they use to commit their crimes.

If, for some reason, a ban on AR-15s and similar firearms goes into effect, we'll be having this same conversation about whatever firearm is used in the next mass shooting - whether it's a handgun, a shotgun, or another type of rifle. And once again, you'll say "Nobody is wanting to remove anyone's rights." And once again, I'll call you out for lying.
Typical conservative black and white thinking. No room for nuance; no room for compromise; no room for the middle ground.

there is NO DIFFERENCE between an ar15 (a small caliper semi automatic) and any other modern HANDGUN

heck my 1911 45cal has MORE KNOCKDOWN power than the ar15

you enjoy the 1st amendment??? your ability to protest and SPEAK FREELY???...it goes away with the removal of the 2nd amendment

you enjoy the 1st amendment??? your protection against search and seizer of your property???...it goes away with the removal of the 2nd amendment and confiscation of guns

you enjoy the 5st amendment??? your ability to SPEAK FREELY and no self incriminate???...it goes away with the removal of the 2nd amendment.. and your ability to say "I have/havenot guns"
I disagree. No one is wanting to take away anyone's rights. What is wrong with common sense gun reform? What is wrong with comprehensive background checks? What is wrong with raising the age of owning of a gun? What is wrong with banning assault weapons? There are many people in the service and law enforcement who agree. The bearing of arms is not being infringed. If you owns guns, keep your guns. It's getting tiresome, the influence the NRA has over the people in this country.

One slight correction. She talked for two and a half minutes and was silence for 4 minutes for a total of 6 1/2 to represent the time it took to slaughter the students at the school. Otherwise, everything you wrote is spot on. I'm proud of their generation, too. They showed up all over the country in numbers too big to ignore.
