There you go again. Ascribing your own thoughts and ideas to me. Don't do that. I can speak for myself.

I found your post funny because you think that line means I have to house everyone in the world because I live in a house when actually it means to TREAT others the way you'd want to be treated. Two different things.

I know you refuse to accept that.

And I know you'll cut off this post.

And I know you'll have an off the cuff remark to insult me.

Carry on.

If the immigration laws themselves demand to separate children from their parents, that is immoral. If you don't know why that's immoral, I can't help you.

And some people only care about the homeless and poor Americans when it comes to discussing refugees. Otherwise, we get threads about food stamps, welfare, Section 8, universal healthcare etc. and how very unfair that all is any other day of the week.

They don't care and their "outrage" about refugees has been duly noted.

Then answer the question... When are you moving ten or twenty illegal aliens into your home with you? Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Agreed and that was what I was trying to get at yesterday but I lost my patience dealing with the endless ad hominem, straw man, argumentum ad ignorantiam and circular arguments being tossed my way yesterday.

You're absolutely right: WAY too many Americans are incarcerated for non-violent, low level crimes that shouldn't even be crimes in the first place. Or at least not crimes for which one can be incarcerated. THOSE American families ARE being torn about by this BS.

I dont like families being separated, but I think we have gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore.

Life should be terrrible here for anyone that comes illegally. It should be worse for them here, than it is in their home countries.

Since, for decades, we have not been enforcing the laws, and we are making it more and more difficult to enforce our laws, we need some other method of getting these people back home where they belong. The governor of my state just signed a bill allowing illegal aliens to receive financial aid for state college. WTF? The tax payers have to pay for college for people that have no business being here in the first place. I have no problem with making these people miserable so they decide they are better off not being here.

And to people comparing this to Nazis? That is complete nonsense! You are going to compare these people to Holocaust victims? Did holocaust victims flock INTO Germany or were they trying to escape Germany?
How many illegal aliens are being gassed to death? How many are having medical experiments done on them against their will? How many are being tortured? They are breaking our laws, and they are paying a price that they could easily avoid by NOT breaking our laws.
