My first thought when I saw the post about the lack of hijackings since 9/11 (and the reason for the lack thereof) was to wonder how long it had been since a hijacking took place in the US before 9/11. Serious question. Any care to take a guess?
Now, back on the topic, why stop at imprisoning the people who only provide the means to the shooter? Why not also those who provide the motivation, say the bullies, and those who provide the opportunity, those who left the door open?
Or perhaps we ought to lock up all the knowledge on this subject and make it available to only those who have obtained special clearances......but does freedom of information come under freedom of speech?
before you are going to get people on board to expend billions to renovate schools and hire armed police to provide protection, you're going to have to be able to point to instances where it saved lives. The last two instances there were police assigned and it didn't matter.
True indeed, but you can't keep guns out of the hands of kids no matter what you do.
You can keep guns out of the hands of more of them. Not all, but certainly more. It’s better than just saying “screw it, we’ll never keep all the guns out of their hands so why bother?”

You just have to get in the ammosexual mindset. "Guns are good, hence more guns is more good."
It could lead to total chaos as hundreds of kids start shooting people in the mistaken belief they are shooting the main shooter, also it poses an extremely difficult job for law enforcement to enter a school with many kids shooting each other. IMO more guns is not the answer.

How about we let schools decide on their own instead of a national one size fits all policy?
There are hundreds of examples. A simple google would show you.
